More than a decade ago, a spark of adventure, friendship and the spirit of the real Dakar brought together a group of passionate off-roaders. In 2014, the idea of crossing the Portuguese tracks of the legendary Dakar Rally became a reality, creating a meeting point for drivers and adventurers who carry in their souls the flame of overcoming and the desire to conquer.

 

Now, 12 editions later, that same spirit pulses stronger than ever. Over the years, we have built much more than an event; we have created a family, a tradition, a celebration of freedom and challenge. This year, the 12th edition promises to be a special milestone - a tribute to every trail, every story, every moment shared.

 

It's time to reconnect with friends, create memories and pay tribute to the spirit of adventure that unites us. Come and be part of this epic journey, where the sound of engines mixes with laughter and camaraderie, and where the road is as important as the destination. Celebrate Our Dakar - 12th Edition with us, an edition to remember and to mark the beginning of a new era of adventure.

In 2025, we continue to celebrate a story that has spanned more than a decade and proved memorable for all participants. The spirit remains the same, but the event has gained a charisma and success that consolidates it as the largest event in Europe dedicated exclusively to off-road Trail and Bigtrail motorcycles. This is an event created and designed solely for this type of motorcycle, where passion for adventure and camaraderie are essential for a fulfilling adventure. 

With comfort, conviviality and socializing in mind, all the participants are staying in the same hotel (Vila Galé Ampalius, in Vilamoura - Algarve), where dinner will also be held on Friday and Saturday, thus creating a “bivouac” spirit, of people who share the same passion and enthusiasm for motorcycles and the Dakar.

In past editions of the event, we have always had a large majority of national riders, but also participants from Spain, France, Switzerland, England, Holland, Romania, Russia, Ukraine, Austria, Ireland, USA, Germany, Morocco and Angola. We've also had several former Dakar drivers taking part, most notably Marc Morales, who came third in the 1989 Paris Dakar.



Since the 10th edition in 2023, we have implemented a series of new features and improvements in the areas of size, safety and environmental sustainability. We believe that the set of good practices we have implemented over the years will help us along the road to enjoying our country safely, leaving a neutral impact and leaving the feeling that wherever we go, we will always be welcome.

In addition to the new features already implemented, we will continue to innovate and go further. The safety of the participants has always been a top priority for us and, for the first time, we will have all the bikes equipped with a device that will allow us to know precisely the position of each participant, whether they are on the stage, whether they have completed it, emergency request/signal, among other information, which will greatly increase the safety of everyone present.

The routes are designed to ensure that old stages or sections of the real Dakar are repeated when they pass through Portugal. 🇵🇹 All the routes, be they in terms of difficulty and/or distance, are carefully chosen, taking into account even the largest adventure bikes, and reviewed 2 days before the event, for any final adjustments to the route that may be necessary. 

⚠️ The event is exclusively for Trail, Big Trail and original Rally-Raid bikes. In other words, MX or Enduro bikes with off-road preparation will not be admitted to this event. ⚠️


As in the previous edition, this year the organization will once again measure the noise 🎙 of all the bikes. If in the past the main objective was to alert, raise awareness and understand the dynamics that noise implies for the locals, nature and those we visit, this time and for this edition, motorcycles that do not comply with the legal noise limits will be excluded from the event and there will be no refund of registration fees. Please note that bikes without a db-killer, catalytic converter or other exhaust system modifications will most likely not be able to take part after the technical checks.

This is a motorcycle tourism event whose main feature is the ride, discovery and contact with the habits and customs of the regions visited.

Level of difficulty of the route: Low/Moderate*

Note: 🌦 ❄️The weather may change the state of the route, but it will always be checked in the days before and alternatives created if necessary.

For the more experienced, alternatives of a higher difficulty will be provided to intensify the experience.

In previous editions, it has been recurrent for places/registrations to run out and for many interested parties to be left out. We advise you to register as soon as possible, as the number of registrations is LIMITED!





FEES:
The event has a basic entry fee of €328 + safety pack of €71 (insurance + GPS tracking + medical assistance - compulsory) and includes:

✅ GPS track in GPX format - Compatible with Garmin GPS with off-road capabilities;

✅ Welcome pack;

✅ Participation insurance;

✅ GPS tracking of the participant;

✅ Meals: Friday lunch and dinner + Saturday lunch and dinner + Sunday lunch;

✅ 2 Nights from the 12th to the 14th of January with breakfast in a double or single room depending on your registration format, at the Hotel Vila Galé Lagos, in Lagos - Algarve;

✅ Access to the institutional page with all private information;

✅ Access to the community where useful information will be disseminated and where notifications will appear during the event;**

✅ Specialized medical assistance***;

✅ Mechanical assistance****.

*Tracking systems and S.O.S. are included in the event, however these must be returned in the same condition as they were given. In the event of damage, our partner will charge us a fee associated with the type of damage. There are 4 types of damage, by level:

This fee, if levied, will be charged in full to the participant in question.

**The community created will comply with all legal privacy requirements and the contact details of none of the participants will be exposed or disclosed, thus maintaining the individual confidentiality of each participant;

***the organization has several medical teams 🚑 to support any eventuality, however, in the event of injuries, participants should always contact the medical emergency via 112.

****The organization has mechanical assistance to help participants solve problems with their motorcycles, however, it does not have the capacity to remove or tow vehicles from the route, nor will it have spare parts for all vehicles, so each participant should bring a kit with the basic items to repair their motorcycle (e.g. inner tube or puncture kit, light bulbs, etc.).

For the “single room” option, 51,50€/night is added to the registration fee.

As an option to the 3-day event, there is the possibility of participating in a reduced format of just 2 days (1 night - Saturday to Sunday), in which case the registration fee for a shared double room is 284€ (includes insurance + medical assistance). For a single room (1 person) there is a supplement.

⚠️ There is no option to register without an overnight stay. 

⚠️ Cancellation policy: 
Until 9/12/2024 - the amount is refunded in full.
Between 10/12/2024 and 21/12/2024 - 50% refund.
From 22/12/2024 - there will be no refund of the registration fee.

⚠️ This event will always be dependent on the rules imposed by the public authorities to which it is required to be licensed, so if this activity cannot be carried out on the proposed date, the registration fee will not be refunded and can be used for any future Longitude 009 / Experiences event, store purchase, tour or off-road training (with no time limit for use).

Motorcycle and Luggage Transportation - Service in partnership with Here we GO! by Nuno Almeida

Whether in previous editions of Our Dakar, corporate events such as the GS Experience or Touratech Day, the Touratech Rally, among others... with this partnership we have been able to provide not only customized conditions for transporting motorcycles, but also a service of the highest availability and quality.


This partnership/service was designed above all for those who are further away or have more difficulties with logistics/schedules. Below is a description of the different types of service and conditions provided by our partner Here We Go!



Step-by-step how motorcycle transport works:

  2. Schedule the delivery of the motorcycle
  3. On the day of the event - starting point of stage SS1 - pick up the bike and leave the car.*
  4. Enjoy the event
  5. At the end of the last stage, there is a connection from the end point to the point where the vehicles were left of about 30mnt/ 40klm and where it will again be possible to leave the motorcycle for return transportation.

    *There will be an appropriate place authorized by the municipality to leave the various participants' cars/trailers during the event. - updated 09/11/2024.

    5. Collect luggage from hotel on arrival after SS1
    6. At the start of the last stage (Sunday), deliver the luggage**** to the Hotel
    7. Collect the luggage at the end of the last stage (Sunday)
